We are in our final hours of our #401Gives 2023 campaign ... Please donate 💚
On this final day of 401 Gives Weekend please note …
The MUSE Foundation of Rhode Island (#MUSEOFRI) is a 501c3 non-profit organization built by and for communities of color in Rhode Island. The foundation aims to identify gaps, bridge opportunities, and add capacity in areas where BIPOC communities can work towards self-sufficiency. They do this through nontraditional and experimental methods to avoid contributing to the status quo. Their initiatives include collaborative work in Black Philanthropy, Policy, Fundraising, Advocacy, Awareness, Education, Economic Development, and more. The foundation is primarily supported by crowdfunding efforts, fundraising events, donations, and volunteers, and all of their leadership, board, committees, and staffing are volunteers.
This August and every August has been officially established as “Black Philanthropy Month” thanks to the efforts The MUSE Foundation of Rhode Island, United Way of Rhode Island & Governor McKee. Our hopes are to highlight black led agencies and their efforts to raise awareness, capacity and financial supports similar to Gives Day in August. We hope to continue to build our partnership with United Way of Rhode Island and with the support of more strategic partners like The Rhode Island Foundation, Papitto Opportunity Connection. This is a collaborative effort!
